SKI TERRAIN on SKI GOLD MOUNTAIN

IMAGINE

Imagine eight miles of groomed cruising runs to steep glades, open bowls and airy cornices. We've got great terrain to satisfy every skiing ability. The front, east facing bowl visible from deck of the lodge features groomed ski runs for beginners through strong intermediates. The backside features ski runs through the forest for strong intermediate skiers, as well as, cornices and steep tree skiing for advanced skiers. For expert skiers, the south facing Sun Bowl and Mudslide Chute area features an adrenalin pumping pitch. Our ski terrain is rated 10% beginner, 50% intermediate and 40% advanced and expert.

CHALENGE

With 40% of the available skiing rated advanced or expert, there is plenty of challenging, off piste areas for you to explore. We recommend you head for the adrenalin pumping steeps of the Sun Bowl and Mudslide Chute in the early morning before the sun softens the south facing slopes. The exhilarating Tree Chutes, off the backside of the North Ridge, offer challenging descents through the trees and hold the finest powdered snow you'll find anywhere.

For Novice and Expert Skiers

The shorter, but still steep plunges off the north side of the South Ridge offer a challenge for those not quite up to the more committing pitches of the Sun Bowl or theNorth Ridge Tree Chutes. Be sure to explore the fabulous glade skiing dropping off of the Outer Limits Ridge.

For those expert skiers and boarders looking for air time, head up to The Cornices located directly above Bobbies Bowl in the back trails area, to find a heart stopping launch site. Remember to always ski or board with a partner when skiing off piste or in back trail areas.
